How to do the Lat Pulldown
- Sit at the lat pulldown machine, thighs secured under the pads
- Grip the bar wider than shoulder-width with an overhand grip
- Lean back slightly and pull the bar to your upper chest
- Squeeze your lats at the bottom of the movement
- Slowly return the bar to the starting position with control
Form tips
- Don't pull behind your neck — always to the front
- Focus on pulling your elbows down, not your hands
- Avoid leaning too far back
- Control the negative — don't let the weight snap back up
