How to do the Straight Leg Raise with Ankle Weight

  1. Strap a 1-3 lb ankle weight just above your ankle
  2. Lie on your back, opposite knee bent
  3. Lock your quad and slowly lift the leg to opposite knee height
  4. Hold 2 seconds, then control down

Form tips

  • Start light — increase weight 0.5 lb at a time
  • Stop if knee pain
