How to do the Straight Leg Raise

  1. Lie on your back with the uninjured knee bent, foot flat
  2. Keep the injured leg straight
  3. Tighten your quad first (do a quad set)
  4. Slowly lift the straight leg to the height of the opposite knee
  5. Hold for 3 seconds at the top
  6. Slowly lower back down

Form tips

  • Lock your knee fully before lifting
  • Don't let your leg rotate outward
  • Control the lowering — don't drop
